Where were you all? Did the weather forecast put you off? That storm kept to the sea and the south coast, we are inland! Terry, Keith and Adrian arrived at Fleet Ibex around 0900 hours and then the FWAS chairman (Beyondelp, AKA Peter Newman) rolled to a stop in his Prius (left his anchor at home and a good job it was muddy) and joined us about 1030 hrs. Beyondelp may have compromised his position as FWAS Chairman by joining Adrian to shoot around the Blue course in the rain! There was some shelter for him from what remains of the trees after the ravages of the snow and certain archers. We spotted Keith and Terry, sporting a stylish tea pot cosy each, cavorting in the bracken while plotting part of the course for the next Fleet Ibex Open Shoot on April 4.
The rain eased off almost to nothing around lunchtime and no surprise to see at least one FWAS member appear, as well as 2 relatively new members.
Around 1500 hours , the four of us early birds called it a day. A dainty piece of puddle and mud avoidance by Keith in his french Tartmobile was spotted. He was aware that all the other vehicles present did not have tow ropes or the 4 wheel drive necessary to drag his heavily laden TM out of the mud this week...............
